A beautiful square in Budapest

When wandering cities it’s amazing what you come across

When in Brussels

like everyone else when I was in Brussels, I had to see the Mannekin Pis. I was quite surprised as I thought “it would be much bigger”.

A nice sunny day

Today, the sun was out and very warm and we could not resist the opportunity to wander round the Bristol Harbourside. It was certainly very busy and decided to have lunch at the Cottage Inn which is right on the waterfront and next to the Baltic Wharf campsite. Later, we stopped at the Mud Dock cafe, the cafe and bar is above a  cycle shop with a large balcony to sit out and watch the the world go by.

A garden in the sky

If you are in London, a visit to the sky garden is a must, the address is 20 Fenchurch Street. The entrance is free, but you need to book your ticket online and a time slot at and it will give you full information

A lift will whisk you up to the thirty-fifth floor in seconds and there is a cafe and restaurant. The views are spectacular and you can see the shard opposite

It is a very short walk from Bank or Monument underground stations, which I think is the best way.
